I had planned to get a slingbox when in Hong Kong, but the very nice guy at the Hong Kong Sim Lim-Styled shop told me of this device, which was cheaper, uses MPEG4/2, and allows multiple connection. Its a Hava Platinum HD and has composite, component, svideo in, and allows MPEG2 at DVD quality streaming locally, and MPEG4 for online viewing.

I finally got it set up with my Starhub SCV digital set top box, and even got the IR-Blaster working so I can change channels while i'm watching from shop =P (It doesnt support the starhub ADB STB straight off, but the hava tech support was amazingly fast and accurate and got it up and running pretty fast)

If you ever want to get one and you're in Hong Kong, head down to Golden Computer Centre, Shop 109 on 1/F. Its just at the Sham Shui Po MTR station. Shop name is called i-Style.

Its Hong Kong, land of glorius Dim Sum, and what a culinary experience for me. The Maxim's group of restaurant lives up to it name as one of the best chains in Hong Kong. The outlet at airport wasnt great, but the one at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre (Outlet is named Serenade) was great with excellent presentation.

Last pic is the roast pork.. a classic =)

Saw this at Serangoon NEL MRT this morning... (Its a bit hard to read but it says "NOT CLEANED SINCE 23/2/08". Considering the person dirtied his fingers doing it, why couldnt he have just wiped the whole area off himself. Its like people who see litter and don't pick it up (and make a fuss bout it)

Got out my old rusty bike, cleaned it up and headed out to compass point. Found a good use for one of my birthday present - a pouch. Managed to stuff the n95 on the outer part of the pouch and it still received a good (4-6 satellite) signal.

Here's the sports tracker kml export. Green was the ride there, and Red back home.

While fiddling with the SportsTracker app, and realised that the jogging/running profile will enable a pedometer. (Uses the N95 accelerometer) So fun !

Yes, new toys are fun.

Sports Tracker + N95 + Bored bus ride + Google Earth = So many possibilities..

This was my bus ride (159) from Compass Point back to Regentville, it even shows my crossing the road over to hougang point. Pity the satelitte view of sengkang area is so horrid (Google earth buy new maps!)

Now to figure a good way to tape my phone on to my bicycle. *grin*
